Armando Testa (1917–1992) in 1960 was at the height of his powers. His studio — the Studio Testa, founded in Turin — was producing some of the most admired commercial art in Europe, and his work for the great Turin vermouth house was widely recognised as the gold standard of Italian drinks advertising.
