This vintage, retro Italian food & drink poster crackles with the energy and elegance of the Belle Époque. It features a boy in full evening dress — white tie, tail coat, rosy cheeks and vivid red hair — who has shinned up a lamppost in sheer exuberance, one arm raised high in the air.

The illustration was originally created by Leonetto Cappiello, one of the greatest poster artists of his era, between 1900 and 1916 to advertise one of Italy’s most iconic classic bitter aperitivo liqueurs — a masterpiece of early 20th-century Italian graphic art.
