The Art Deco stylisation, bold colour palette and effortless elegance made Broders the defining poster artist of the Côte d’Azur.

“Au Pays du Soleil” (In the Land of Sunshine) promised travellers the Mediterranean dream — a promise that made Monte-Carlo a byword for luxury, and this poster one of the most collected travel images of the era.
