This vintage, retro Italian food & drink poster encapsulates the glamour of times gone by. Full of wit and theatricality, it features a mischievous elf figure dressed in red with white polka dots, dancing as he emerges from an orange peel and triumphantly raising a bottle of classic Italian bitter aperitivo liqueur.

The illustration was originally created by the celebrated poster artist Leonetto Cappiello in 1921, for one of Italy’s most iconic bitter aperitivo liqueurs — a timeless piece of Italian advertising art history.
